Workshop at the 19th Loccum Procedere Workshop Conference

How can participation truly reach everyone ? That is the central question of this year’s Procedere Workshop Conference at the Evangelical Academy Loccum. Three days, many practitioners from democratic development and process design, and a programme that doesn’t stop at theory.

We’ll be there. Dr. Jenny Bischofberger and Dr. Jana Diels are leading the workshop “Talking About Climate? Listening to Climate!” with Talking Hope’s Climate Listening Game.

Engagement forum at the Ministry of the Environment

Dr. Frederik Metje, project coordinator of our Social Climate Project, will present key findings of our climate work with young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds at a panel discussion at this year’s Engagement Forum.  The Engagement Forum, organized by  Germany’s Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Umweltbundesamt (UBA) brings together experts and youth as well as practitioners of many civic organizations working with young people.

The Climate Monologues – Theater evening with expert Q&A

Droughts, floods, storms: the effects of climate change are becoming more noticeable worldwide – and the window of opportunity for action is shrinking. The Climate Monologues tell powerful stories of people facing the concrete effects of the climate crisis: a family in Bangladesh after Cyclone Aila, a pastoralist in northern Kenya fighting hunger caused by drought, a climate activist from Pakistan whose village at the foot of a glacier was flooded, and a nurse who narrowly escaped the deadliest forest fire in California’s history.

The performance will be followed by a Q&A with experts, including Viviane Raddatz and Eva-Maria McCormack

An evening that connects perspectives – and creates space for questions, exchange, and reflection.

Keynote “HOPE: OUR GREATEST FORCE FOR CHANGE”

At the annual Women’s Conference of the HEGGE Christian Educational Center, the 2025 focus is on hope, explored through perspectives from society, theology, and the church. Eva-Maria McCormack will open the conference with a lecture in which she discusses hope as a very worldly, action-oriented force for shaping a sustainable and socially just way of living together.

Workshop: “Too good to be wrong?”

Misinformation about the climate crisis appears everywhere — at school, online and in everyday life. This workshop equips students in grades 5–13 with the tools to spot common tricks, fallacies and fake news, and to assess them with confidence. Perfect for anyone seeking clearer insight and a stronger voice in shaping our climate future.
