IMAGINE TOMORROW.
THEN CHANGE TODAY.
The future is open: Talking Hope drives and supports systems change
around climate, democracy, social justice and public health. We are working
through socially inclusive communications and participatory engagement.
WHY TALKING HOPE
Our world is going through profound change: Climate crisis and biodiversity loss are forcing us to rethink the way we live. Their effects are interconnected and affect us all: Our personal health and the health of our societies, our economic wellbeing and the functioning of democracy – all this is linked to how well we respond to the climate crisis.
Talking Hope is led by the ideal of a fair and sustainable world in which all people can thrive. Bold climate solutions will contribute to more well-being, and a fairer, healthier, and safer society. The climate transition is not just a challenge. It is also an invitation to improve lives and better build our future.
LET’S HAVE A DREAM
60 years ago, Martin Luther King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In his famous “I have a dream” speech, he envisioned a peaceful future for his children and all the children of America. By equating societal and political responsibility with the care that loving parents provide for their children, King made the future a shared endeavor for all citizens. His approach can inspire us in the transition to a sustainable future.
OUR MANIFESTO FOR HOPE
All in vain? Nothing we can do? Feelings of hopelessness and powerlessness are stifling many of us today. We believe: We must choose hope now more than ever – especially as we are facing setbacks in climate action and threats to our democracies. For, hope is political – and hopelessness serves power. Here is our manifesto for hope. Ten theses to encourage and empower. Because hope instills action.
FOSSIL POLITICS
The global fight against climate change is stuck in a rut. The failure of COP29 in Baku has exposed deep fractures—and now the UN talks on plastic waste reduction (INC 5) have also collapsed without a deal. So, what happens when global leaders fail to act? Can everyday people step up? Where big politics fails, we can still exert small people power.
“Hope is not a pink, gooey-eyed look at the future. It is the recognition that we can change the world – and the courage to act into the unknown.“

THE TRANSFORMATION MANUFACTURY
Talking Hope empowers and accelerates collective action for positive change through socially inclusive communications.
Our vision is a fair and sustainable future in which all people can thrive and live together peacefully. To this end, support collective change aimed at more sustainable living conditions, social justice, health, and the active participation of all groups in society. We drive collective change through participatory strategies, solution-oriented communication, transformative campaigns, and positive visions of the future.
We work with civic society, philanthropic, public and private partners as well as the media to create and foster pathways of positive change.
BUILDING BRIDGES AND CONSENSUS
It takes the world to change the world: To widen the consensus for a sustainable future, more people of all backgrounds must share in the conversation how to realize it. We respect diversity with diversity. Talking Hope is not just a team of experts. We are people with many different stories and many different origins. And that makes us even better.
