Climate communication is more than the transfer of knowledge – it’s about dialogue at eye level. But who is being heard in today’s climate discourse? And who still feels left out? 

In their workshop “Talking About Climate? Listening to Climate!” at the K3 Congress 2024 in Graz, Eva-Maria McCormack, Dr Jenny Bischofberger, and Zoë Herr focused on socially inclusive climate communication. Together with participants, they explored how conversations about the climate crisis can be designed to include people from diverse backgrounds – and how listening can be the key to greater participation. 

A special highlight of the workshop was the first presentation of our Climate Listening Game – a participatory role-playing tool based on the Talking Hope Framework©. 
The goal of the game is to discover and understand new perspectives – and to build bridges to people and communities who have so far found little voice in the climate debate. 
The feedback from participants was clear: “An absolutely enriching experience.”
