Democracy is under pressure — in Germany and internationally. What kind of republic can reconnect citizens, rebuild confidence in progress and help us face the major transformations of our time together?

With “The New Republic: A Shared Renewal,” the Heinrich Böll Foundation invites participants to a day of debate and exchange on democracy, social cohesion and democratic renewal — with conversations, parallel sessions, a photo exhibition and space to meet and reflect.

We’ll be there: Talking Hope founder Eva-Maria McCormack joins the session “Mehr E-Republik wagen! Ein ökologisches Fortschrittsversprechen” with Christian Stöcker and Anna Brehm. Together, they will explore how Germany can stay the course on the energy and climate transition, what chances an ecological transformation can open for the economy, democracy and social cohesion – and how we can shape the future with hope rather than despair.

A day for everyone who wants to move beyond crisis mode and help bring a shared democratic future to life.
