A game of role play for climate
conversations that build bridges

It’s no secret: The climate discourse is mainly led by people who tend to be more well-off and formally educated. Our role play for socially inclusive climate communication helps to build bridges and include more people in our conversation on climate.

We launched our game at the K3 Congress for Climate Communication 2024 in Graz. The participants’ comment: “An absolutely rewarding experience.”

Eva-Maria McCormack is the founder of Talking Hope. A sustainable, climate-neutral world can only be achieved with more social justice and the participation of those who are currently disadvantaged, she says. Why else should the change to a sustainable world be worthwhile if not democratically and for everyone? She is a passionate advocate of climate communication that is people-centred instead of being primarily technology-obsessed. The climate crisis is not only a global challenge, but also the chance for a new social contract and an invitation to improve lives and build a better future.
